Pele velha de cobra a mim serve examines how value is produced, accumulated and transformed through circulation and exchange. Taking the form of a temporary second-hand shop, the exhibition brings together used clothing, an exposed fitting room and distorted mirrors to question how objects — and the bodies and histories attached to them — acquire new meanings as they pass between people.

Working against the logic of accumulation and sale, the exhibition proposes exchange, giving and reuse as alternative forms of circulation. Clothes become shed skins, carrying traces of previous lives while remaining available for new ones; mirrors, meanwhile, point to another form of exchange, in which our image is continually produced and altered through others.
